Designs with William Pike Design
Since 2005, most of the layout, color scheme, graphic design for websites has been the product of talented and experienced graphic designer Bill Pike of William Pike Design. Click the image to the right to see examples of websites based on his work.
eCommerce Shopping Carts
Several of the websites sell products. The major shopping cart engine used is OSCommerce, an "open source" (free) package developed and maintained by the 100s of thousands of web designers and developers. Click the image to the right to see examples of websites based on OSCommerce.
PayPal Shopping Carts
For websites selling a very small number of products, or with very limited start-up budgets, PayPal can be used to sell products purchased by credit card or using a PayPal account. The sites in the slide show to the right are a mix of designs, some created by Bill Pike, and some earlier ones that predate our working relationship.
Other Shopping Carts
Before OSCommerce became available, the best option (highest function per cost) was a licensed product called PDG Cart. Stone River Outfitters (formerly Hunters Angling) has been using this system for about 10 years to sell about 18,000 fly fishing and fly tying products world-wide. All other clients who used this product in the past have since converted to OSCommerce.
CMS (Customer Maintained) Websites
CMS software that works well and provides a professional interface is fairly new. The sites to the right use WordPress (another open source package) as the engine to run a site that clients can modify at will. Some of these are still in the design phase.
More Sites Designed by Bill Pike
THese are more examples of the collaboration between Robin Warren Web Design and William Pike Design. Some of these customers are now out of business, or the website has since been updated. Some of these are still in the design phase.
